Eric Stonham, founding principal of Stonham.Co, added: “This merger brings together two firms with a similar approach to financially distressed businesses. We both believe that winding up businesses should be very much the last resort, and that all options to rescue enterprises should be explored first”.
Although the merged firm will eventually be known as Burton Sweet Corporate Recovery, initially the offices will be dual branded.
Graham Down added: “We have ambitious plans to expand our firm both organically and by sensible acquisitions. Our team of recovery professionals is particularly strong, such that we can legitimately claim to be a genuine alternative to the mid-tier accounting firms. The merger with Stonham.Co adds to our talented team of specialist advisers and to our pool of expertise.”
