Natural Paint Limited, a manufacturer of eco-friendly paint, has been placed into liquidation by its shareholders. Graham Down, of tri group, has been appointed as Liquidator to handle the winding-up.
The company was formed in 2004 and was based in Hayle, Cornwall. After attracting substantial equity investment in 2011, the product was relaunched in 2012 with new branding, a new colour range, enhanced formulations and a detailed marketing strategy which enabled it to attract customers including B&Q, John Lewis and House of Fraser, as well as selling into continental Europe.
However, production difficulties proved impossible to overcome. Despite looking for a buyer for the business over an 18 month period, none was found and it was eventually decided to call it a day.
